NYSEG is replacing aging infrastructure within the Wild Oaks community. Please read the email below sent out to residents on September 27th. If you would like to be on the email notification list, please text your name, address, and email address to Jodi at 914-863-5754.
My name is Richard Schmoll, I am a project manager working on behalf of New York State Electric and Gas. This is a courtesy email to inform you that starting this Tuesday, September 28th, 2021 NYSEG will be working on upgrades to existing electric equipment in your community between this year and next year. The work involved will predominantly involve trenching and replacement of old wire, and the replacement of submersible transformers with pad mounted transformers. As this work is being done, any tree or brush surrounding transformers or underground wire that may cause interference with NYSEG’s facilities will be trimmed or removed to prevent any interruptions in service.
This year’s work will focus exclusively on Fairmount Road, working from Waccabuc Road (NY-138) and going North towards Wild Oaks Road, then West down Wild Oaks Road towards the units on 10 Wild Oaks Road. Next year’s work will involve more of Wild Oaks Road, Park Road, Meadow Road, Boulder Lane, and the section of Fairmount Road North of Wild Oaks Road.
